Voice of Truth

Sometimes I need more than a simple reminder that God is in control and everything  HE wants to happen will happen in HIS time.
Today I met some friends for milkshakes for some much needed girl time. The weather was cold and rainy today and I am either getting a cold or my allergies are acting up...either way I had to escape my house to shake my icky mood.  Give me chocolate or ice cream and I am immediately a happy girl!

On the way home, a song came on the radio.  I have listened to this song numerous times and sing along with the band.  However, I never really listened to the words of the song.  For some reason today I listened...

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves

But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again. 'Boy, you'll never win!'
"You'll never win"

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth...

Voice of Truth
Casting Crowns

As I was listening to it, I started to wonder if God was talking to me, telling me that he has a plan for me and that I need to be patient and let that plan happen.
My friend, S. and I have been dreaming about turning our photography passion into more than a passion.  Is this the direction God is telling me to go?
When I got home I checked my email, I received an email with the subject line...How far could you take your photography?  Is that a sign?

Do you think Abraham was internally questioning himself when God told him to pack  up and move to a new land.  Would you be able to do what Abraham did and move your family to a new land, change careers, or make a life changing decision?  I would like to hope I would but I'm not so sure!

Focusing on Him,

  1. This is so true, too often we forget that it's not about us...its about HIM and that we just need to focus on HIM and not rely on our own desires and wants, but what HE is calling for US!

  2. I often have no idea what direction God is taking me.

  3. I always believe nothing happens without reason. And today you "listened". All things are possible.
